Neal E. Vivian Research Award
 

PURPOSE: To stimulate and recognize outstanding research that has been completed by an individual in Marketing Education for a single year.

CRITERIA: All organized and systematic research studies in Marketing Education will be considered. Evaluation of the study and selection of the recipient are the duties of the Neal E. Vivian Research Subcommittee of the Marketing Education Research Committee, co-sponsored by the Marketing Education Association and Marketing Education Division of ACTE. Members of the committee are not eligible for the award.

The study will be evaluated on the following criteria:

  1. Addresses an important problem or issue in Marketing Education
  2. Uses appropriate and/or innovative research methods
  3. Is of high quality
  4. Advances knowledge of Marketing Education
  5. Communicates in an effective manner
ELIGIBILITY: To be considered, the study must be concluded between June 1 of the previous year and May 31 of the year in which application for the award is made. Studies that do not meet this requirement are not eligible.

In addition, the author of the report must be a regular or student member of the national Marketing Education Association or the Marketing Education Division of the ACTE.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES: The following materials should be submitted:

  1. A cover letter and four copies of the completed study as outlined above. Include name, address, and telephone number of the person submitting the study.
  2. A completed Public Relations and Recognition Information Form.
  3. A $10 application fee. Checks or money orders should be made payable to the Marketing Education Association.
All materials must be submitted simultaneously as a complete package. Materials in other formats will not be considered.
