OVERVIEW:

The awards program seeks to promote excellence in Marketing Education. It does so by recognizing:

  • individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the field;
  • programs that exemplify the highest standards;
  • graduating high school students for exemplary performance in marketing; and
  • organizations which have conducted activities to promote and expand marketing education programs.

CATEGORIES:

  • Marketing Education Award of Merit
    • Purpose: To recognize individuals or organizations outside the field of Marketing Education for the highest meritorious service toward the improvement, promotion, development, and progress of Marketing Education.
  • Marketing Education Professional
    • Purpose: To honor an individual for exemplary service to Marketing Education.
  • Harland E. Samson Marketing Education Distinguished Service
    • Purpose: To recognize marketing educators who have provided the most meritorious contributions to the improvement, promotion, development, and progress of Marketing Education.
  • Innovation in Marketing Education
    • Purpose: To recognize marketing educators for outstanding innovative contributions to a marketing education instructional program.
  • Neal E. Vivian Research
    • Purpose: To stimulate and recognize outstanding research that has been completed by an individual in Marketing Education for a single year.
  • Lifetime Achievement in Marketing Education
    • Purpose: To recognize marketing educators who have provided the highest and most meritorious contributions to the improvement, promotion, development, and progress of Marketing Education.
  • Association Program of Work
    • Purpose: To recognize individual associations for the development and execution of programs of work.
  • Association Marketing Plan
    • Purpose: To recognize marketing education associations that effectively develop and implement marketing plans for marketing education.
  • Local Program Marketing Plan
    • Purpose: To recognize individuals and organizations who effectively develop and implement marketing plans for Marketing Education within one institution/organization or community.
  • National Distinguished Program
    • Purpose: The National Distinguished Program recognition will be presented annually by the Marketing Education Association to provide national recognition to outstanding Marketing Education programs.
  • Achievement through Marketing Education
    • Purpose: To recognize graduating secondary marketing education students for exemplary academic performance in marketing.
  • Marketing Education Teachers Writing
    • Purpose: To recognize marketing education teachers who have provided thoughtful and well written articles for publication in professional publications such as Perspectives on Marketing, Techniques, Dimensions, or the Marketing Educators' Journal.
